We had the most amazing day at the Children’s Kidney Fund NI, fun day at Stormont Pavilion! Meeting all of the inspiring young ones really melted our hearts and left us with the warmest of fuzzy feelings in our hearts
We explored every avenue of the funday, beginning with the bubble machine which we found looked a lot like snow, building a snow castle has never been so fun!! Next stop was the plate spinning; although these skills didn’t come naturally to our Ice Queen, it was a learning experience and a lot of smiles were shared!
Meeting Tilly was a particular highlight to us as she was bursting to the brim with excitement and joy! We were told this little girl was awaiting her transplant and afterwards they would be heading to Disneyland for a well deserved trip of a lifetime!! All of our hopes and prayers are with her and her lovely family; we hope Tilly makes a swift recovery and enjoys her holiday.
As we explored the rest of the amazing activities we discovered talents we never knew we had, such as hoolahooping and building Lego houses, although these activities were challenging to say the least, they provided the children with a lot of giggles! One of our last activities of the day was in the pleasure of the Belfast Drum Circle, we enjoyed some rhythmic drumming as well as an amazing story telling session which was not only beautifully worded but also interactive which meant we were fortunate enough to be able to actually join in on the fun!!
Our Ice Queen had a fantastic day at such a well organised event; this charity deserves any donation you can make.
